Before joining HESCO, Cal held senior positions at prominent firms such as Alvarez & Marsal Canada, Grant Thornton LLP, and KPMG Canada. During his tenure at these organizations, Cal led various restructuring initiatives, including CCAA restructurings and court-appointed receiverships, while providing exceptional service to his clients.

At Grant Thornton LLP, Cal spearheaded the corporate restructuring practice in Edmonton, focusing on assisting companies in financial distress, particularly those in the oil and gas service sector. His leadership and strategic vision were instrumental in developing a highly skilled team of professionals who continue to make a significant impact in the industry.

Prior to his time at Grant Thornton, Cal held the position of Vice President in Corporate Restructuring at KPMG Canada, where he began his career in the late 1990s. During his tenure, Cal gained valuable insights and expertise from senior practitioners, laying the foundation for his successful career in restructuring.
