Chief Executive Officer
Upon graduating from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) with a diploma in Engineering Drafting and Design, Adam Ungarian began his career in the foodservice industry specializing in commercial kitchen design. With a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a keen interest in business development, Adam developed a passion for creating efficient, well-designed foodservice environments.
In 2006, Adam, alongside Larry and Doris Ungarian, purchased HESCO—an established company founded in 1921 and known for its excellence in hotel equipment and supply. Since that time, HESCO Foodservice has evolved into a rapidly growing company providing comprehensive solutions, products, and services to the foodservice industry nationwide throughout Canada.
HESCO operates full-service showrooms in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta, as well as Burlington, Ontario. From design consultation through to equipment supply and project completion, HESCO manages commercial kitchen projects from start to finish, regardless of scope or scale. The company serves a diverse client base that includes hotels, restaurants, care facilities, and institutional operations. Since 2006, Adam and the HESCO team have designed and supplied over 800 commercial kitchens across Canada. Adam brings 27 years of industry design experience to the organization.
Most recently, Adam has taken over the role of Chief Executive Officer of HESCO Foodservice. In this role, he is dedicated to continuing to work closely with the HESCO team to build sustainable growth, foster innovation, and strengthen the company’s position as a leader in the foodservice industry, while honoring its long-standing legacy.
Outside of work, Adam can often be found watching sporting events as an avid Edmonton Oilers fan, dining at local hotspots, or enjoying a round of golf.
